The Retreat Suite Program
I didn’t realize that for usually around half the cost of a suite, Aqua guests also get their own small, private dining room with Blu. I know I can’t always afford a suite class room, but Aqua is usually something I can spring for. I think hands down Blu Restaurant is the best perk of booking Aqua Class on Celebrity. Even though the main dining rooms on board are fantastic, Blu offers such an intimate environment with enhanced service, familiar faces and great food.

Pair all of that with personalized service, inviting surroundings, and natural light, and you have the fresh and bold experience of Blu. Understandably, most guests will not want to pay for perks they won’t use. However, you can inquire about drinks packages or All-Included rates (which includes a Classic Drink Package) when you book your cruise, which would give you the luxury of not having to pay per drink. Anyone on the ship can book a spa appointment; we recommend doing so before your cruise to secure a preferred appointment spot.
You don’t have to make reservations to dine at Blu, but you can arrange them if you’re planning on dining with a group of six or more people, just to ensure there’s a suitable table available for you. AquaClass is considered to be two steps up from a regular Veranda Stateroom, and one step up from Concierge Class. They’re essentially a premium sub-class of Veranda, rather than being considered a completely different type of cabin. As well as the different room types, there are various sub-classes with additional benefits. One of these is the AquaClass, a variant of the Balcony Staterooms. The confusion among passengers arises because it makes a difference as to which category of suite you upgrade into, as described above in Post #5.
And because this is the suite class, the rooms are much more spacious too. But the fare difference is substantial – on a typical 7-night cruise, you may pay an extra $1,500 to $2,000 more per person for a Retreat suite than you would for an AquaClass stateroom. Of course, Concierge Class guests don’t get access to Blu, or the spas on the ships. The Blu restaurant on a Celebrity ship is for the exclusive use of AquaClass guests. Suite guests can use the restaurant, but only if there is space available – AquaClass guests get priority.
With AquaClass and Concierge, only, you will receive a complimentary bottle of water upon arrival. In-room binoculars are provided for all three classes, The Retreat, Concierge, and AquaClass. They are delivered to your suite in a lovely Nate Burkus tote bag; the bag is yours to keep after the cruise. Celebrity, Royal, Edge, Penthouse, and Iconic are considered upper suites of the suites listed above. All AquaClass suites are the same suite (just one option) and all Concierge suites are the same.
